Due to CT Governor Ned Lamont’s Executive Order #7H in regards to outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19), along with the Connecticut State Golf Association/DECD Guidance as well as consultations from our Local Health Department, Local Officials, and our own in house consultants; we are OPEN with modifications. These changes below are in effect until further notice under the "REOpen Connecticut Phase 3 Guidelines" effective Wednesday October 8, 2020

Candlewood Valley Country Club is a privately owned 18 Hole Public Daily Fee Golf Course. We are not owned or operated by the local municipality. We are, and always will be, committed to the caring of our guests and team members Health and Well Being.

Please Please Please follow these guidelines! We know there are so many rules out there now due to this pandemic, but we need to follow these guidelines to stay OPEN! We do not want to close back up because of ones carelessness or ones "need to make a statement." Failure to follow these guidelines will result in removal from the property with no refund and suspension of priveleges.

Candlewood Valley Country Club will be following the guidance of both the State Executive Order, and the Connecticut State Golf Association.

Golf: Effective October 8, 2020: (Source: CSGA and DECD)

  1. So that when it becomes necessary to use a facial covering (when social distancing is not or can not be maintained), all employees and golfers at any golf course must have a facial covering in their possession at all times.
  2. Two players may share a golf cart, however players must wear a facial covering while in the cart and at any time social distancing is not maintained. The driver of the cart must remain the only driver of the cart throughout the round. Exception: members of the same household are not required to wear a mask while sharing a cart, and may alternate drivers provided both drivers meet all other requirements.
  3. Shotgun starts may include up to 150 people assembled before and after the round. Social distancing remains in effect at all times.
  4. Indoor restaurants can operate at 75% capacity, however functions such as private meetings or weddings are limited to a maximum of 50% Capacity of our banquet room or restaurant.

Restaurant Operations: effective October 8, 2020:

We will be operating the indoor dining areas and The Gallery at 75% Capacity. PLEASE, you will need a mask/face covering when entering the Clubhouse and Golf Shop. This is a requirement to remain open. You may only remove your mask once your food/beverage is in front of you to consume it. Our Outdoor Dining will be open on select days. Hours of Operation for the Restaurant will be posted in the Golf Shop.

Golf Shop: effective October 8, 2020:

Our Golf Shop is reconfigured to allow guests to enter. Please wear a mask/face covering (this is the law for now), maintain a safe social distance of 6 feet, and we can only allow 4 people total in the Golf Shop at one time.

The Pandemic and the Guidance is fluid and can change. In order for us to remain open, the State and CSGA Guidelines must be followed. If there is a spike in the local infection rate numbers, we will follow local guidance and adjust our operations as necessary.

Candlewood Valley Country Club is committed to the caring of our guests and team members Health and Well Being. We want to assure you that we are following, and will continue to follow, all protocols set forth by the CDC and the local Health Department; and we support and welcome their guidance. Various sanitizing methods for guests will be made available in the clubhouse and for Motorized Golf Carts/Pull Carts.
