The Premier Connecticut Amateur Tournament August 9 and 9. 2026

The successful return of the Greater New Milford Open concluded with some unforgettable drama as BOTH the men’s and women’s championships went to playoffs!

On the women’s side, Jennifer Curran and Genevieve Courtney battled for 2 extra holes, with Genevieve finally capturing the win.

On the men’s side, it was Andrew Antonelli who came out on top, becoming the youngest-ever GMNO champion after a trio of bonus frames against runner-up Chet Hrostek.

We want to thank all our sponsors, especially to our title sponsor Coca Cola Beverages Northeast. We can’t wait to do it again next year!

Subject: Thank you for a great GNMO

Hi Scott,

My name is Jake McCloskey, I recently played in the GNMO and am a former assistant pro at Ridgewood CC and current Danbury resident. I currently work as an Operations Manager at RX Global which partners with the PGA of America to put on the PGA Show down in Orlando.

I wanted to say congratulations and a massive thank you to you, your team, CVCC staff and all of the volunteers for an awesome event! Even though the weather tried its best to ruin the weekend, you all persevered through to host a memorable weekend. I never knew the GNMO was a thing but I am happy that it was brought back. All the effort put in with sponsors, giveaways and a quality golf course was tremendous for the local golf community. I look forward to many years of this event being run and one day playing with my kids and passing a legacy of participation on to them!

I know it’s the busy season and your free time is limited, but I’d love to get some time on your calendar to talk all things GNMO and PGA Show. I’m not sure if you attend every year, but we’d love to have you join us in Orlando. I’d also be interested in volunteering my time, ideas and connections to the event in the future if you’re looking for more help. Any event I go to, golf or not, I’m always looking at the event through my Operational Lense and want to help anyway I can.

As a fellow graduate of GAA Myrtle Beach (class of 2010), I’m always proud to see fellow alums crushing it in the industry. Keep up the amazing work at CVCC and hope to connect with you soon!

Best,

Jake
